Corporate Legal Assistant
We are seeking a dedicated Legal Assistant to join their team. This position offers an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented individual who thrives in a collaborative and dynamic work environment.
Responsibilities
As a Legal Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting the legal team with a variety of administrative and client-focused tasks. Responsibilities will include:
- Conducting corporate searches and filings
- Assisting with client billing and file management
- Managing client intake, including conflict searches and drafting engagement letters and routine correspondence
- Supporting practice management initiatives, including monthly billing and adherence to firm best practices
- Coordinating administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and client meetings
- Responding to client inquiries in a timely and professional manner, managing follow-ups, and keeping lawyers informed of client interactions
- Maintaining strict confidentiality and ensuring accurate handling of all internal and external communications
Qualifications
- 3+ years of relevant legal assistant experience preferred
- Experience with NetDocuments and Soluno would be considered an asset
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Â Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
- Legal Administrative Assistant Certificate considered an asset
Compensation
- Approximately $60,000 – $70,000 per year, depending on experience
- Group RRSP, medical benefits package, and wellness program available after completion of three months
