Randie Wilson & Company is centrally located in downtown Vancouver and is one of the few law firms in British Columbia which restricts its practice almost exclusively to foreclosures, collection and execution litigation security enforcement and general insolvency matters.
Randie Wilson & Company has one of the larger foreclosure practices in British Columbia as well as a large contingency collection practice and we represent a broad cross-section of large institutional lenders as well as private lenders.
Since 1996, the practice has focused almost exclusively on mortgage enforcement and unsecured collections which has allowed us to develop a high level of expertise in our chosen practice areas to better serve our clients in the most efficient and cost-effective way possible.
Randie Wilson & Company is currently seeking legal assistants for full time work in our foreclosure department. We require individuals who can handle a high-volume of work, who are technically inclined and who are detail oriented. Preference will be given to those who have experience in foreclosure execution.
Standard Responsibilities:
Prepare foreclosure petitions and affidavits and other legal documents
Attend to and monitor service of documents
Attend to all correspondence
Dealing with debtor’s enquiries
Setting down court hearings
Complete foreclosure sales and attend to payout of sale proceeds
Prepare billings
File closures
File management including organizing and managing documents
General administrative tasks as required
Qualifications:
Completion of Legal Administrative Assistant course along with 4 or more years litigation experience
Well organized, methodical, and detail oriented
Self-motivated and prepared to take initiative with file management
Ability to manage high volume of work
Ability to multitask in a fast paced environment
Strong communication skills
Sound knowledge of Microsoft Word
