Responsibilities:

  • Drafting correspondence and attending to court filings
  • Scheduling mediations, discoveries and appointments
  • Maintaining electronic calendars
  • Organizing files, document binders and other file materials
  • Entering lawyers' time, billing
  • Opening files
  • Maintaining Bring Forward system
  • Other administrative support as required

Key Qualifications

  • 2-5 years of experience working as a Litigation Legal Assistant within a law firm
  • Graduate of an accredited Legal Administrative Assistant program

Key Skills

  • Experience with court documents and court filings
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to communicate clearly using discretion, tact and courtesy
  • Proficiency with computers including MS Word, Excel and other relevant programs
  • Excellent document drafting skills
  • Highly organized with excellent attention to detail
  • Client service orientation
  • Ability to handle a high volume of work in a fast paced environment
  • Ability to work in independently and in a team environment
