Qualifications:

  • Minimum 4+ years of experience in real estate law or conveyancing
  • Proficiency in English both verbal and written
  • Familiarity with the British Columbia land title system and the Land Title Office processes
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Full computer literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and Adobe Suite
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work autonomously
  • Adaptable and productive in a challenging work environment


Responsibilities:

  • Preparing conveyance for review by the lawyer or senior paralegal
  • Conducting title searches and due diligence investigations
  • Reviewing real estate documents, including purchase agreements, covenants and leases and identifying material terms
  • Drafting simple real estate documents
  • Communicating with clients, real estate agents, and other parties involved in transactions
  • Coordinating and facilitating real estate closings
  • Managing and organizing physical and electronic files
  • Assisting with the preparation of legal documents and filings
  • Handling client inquiries and providing updates on case progress
  • Maintaining accurate records and documentation
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations
  • Providing support to lawyers and senior paralegals as needed
  • Handle administrative tasks such as filing, organizing, and scheduling

Proficiency:

Segev LLP utilizes various applications and programs to enhance our legal services. While familiarity with the following is beneficial, training will be provided:

  • GoVeyance (Digital conveyancing Solution)
  • NetDocuments (Document Management System)
  • Appara (Digital Corporate Maintenance System)
  • CosmoLex (Accounting and Billing Platform)
  • DocuSign (E-Signatures)

 

Salary: $50,000 - $85,000 depending on experience.
