Scion Law LLP is a growing boutique firm providing tax, trust and estate planning and administration advice and related litigation in downtown Vancouver. Our young and energetic team of lawyers are looking to add a paralegal to:
- work with our solicitor team on estate planning and estate administration matters, including:
- drafting wills, powers of attorney, representation agreements, trusts and related estate planning documents;
- assisting with estate administration matters, including drafting probate application materials, obtaining all required information from clients, financial institutions, public registries, and other third parties where necessary;
- preparing accountings and releases, and preparing related correspondence
- provide general paralegal support, including:
- filing materials with online registries, including Court registries and corporate registries;
- searching online registries, including corporate registries, the personal property security registry, the wills registry and conducting Land Title Office searches;
- improving office efficiencies and developing administrative procedures;
- preparing reporting letters to clients;
- collaborating on file progress with team members
We are seeking a candidate who is self-motivated, client-service driven and interested in working with a young and energetic firm. The candidate should have a strong proficiency with computer systems, have graduated from a recognized paralegal program, and be able to work well independently. The ideal candidate would have four to eight years of experience working as a paralegal in British Columbia in the areas of estates. Experience in corporate law is an asset.
