 Mack Law is a proudly Indigenous-owned and operated law firm based on W̱SÁNEĆ territory. Founded by Leah Mack, we serve Indigenous communities, individuals, and organizations across BC and Canada. Our work blends Indigenous legal traditions with Canadian law to support self-determination, justice, and community well-being.

Our clients include Indigenous governments, non-profits, and organizations working on land, governance, child and family services, and more. We also take on select files in employment, business, and litigation. 

 THE OPPORTUNITY 

 We’re looking for a Senior Associate Lawyer (8–10+ years’ experience) who is passionate about Indigenous rights, community-based work, and meaningful legal practice. You’ll work directly with clients on impactful files, help shape policy and governance, and contribute to a collaborative, purpose-driven team. 

 What You’ll Do 

  • Provide legal advice and draft opinions, laws, and policies 
  • Support Indigenous governance, justice, and community development 
  • Negotiate agreements and manage complex files independently 
  • Mentor junior staff and contribute to firm growth 
  • Travel occasionally to client communities (including remote areas) 

 What You Bring 

  • LLB or JD and membership in good standing with the Law Society of BC and a willingness to be called in other jurisdictions, if required  
  • Strong legal judgment and client relationship skills 
  • Experience in Indigenous law, governance, or related areas is an asset 
  • Proficiency in MS365, Adobe Acrobat, and Unity Accounting (EsiLaw) 

 What We Offer 

  • Salary: $140,000–$167,000 + performance bonus
