KM Subsection Roundtable Meeting: AI and the Law Firm Library Details:
- Date: Wednesday, June 21, 2023 from 12-1pm
- Format: In-person roundtable discussion, with option to join virtually through Microsoft Teams (link to be distributed the week of the meeting)
- Location: Farris (25th Floor, 700 W Georgia St., Vancouver)
- Cost: $0 (KM subsection will cover the cost of lunch. Please indicate dietary preferences/ restrictions.)
Description: Law firm library staff are no strangers to legal innovation, and the latest buzz is all about ChatGPT and other large language models, and AI-generated summary tools (like Jurisage). KM members will be led through a series of topics for discussion such as, AI and opportunities and risks for:
- legal research
- legal research instruction
- library administrative work
- knowledge management
- productivity, in general
Discussion will also focus on:
- How to stay on top of AI trends
- AI policies
