Minimum we do an annual review but we also do reviews more frequently as needed including spot, incidental reviews etc. as it is important to provide open feedback at the moment when things are identified – both positive and constructive.

As part of our annual review, we ask the staff to do a self assessment of their own performance, review previous goals and look at goals for the coming year that they will share at the more formal review. An assessment is also completed by the lawyer/other supervisory staff and these two main assessments are reviewed and discussed at the formal review. From all these, the goals/learning activities for coming year are developed together with staff person and follow up of progress is done as needed.
