I agree with Megan. I’ve rarely seen a lawyer take longer than six months, even when they were entitled to a year. I cannot imagine this firm would prevent someone from taking the full 18 months if they chose to do so. There are no plans to change or inhance our associate lawyer top-up plan.
I have my first support staff off on maternity leave and she has opted to take the full 18 months, which we did not oppose even though the ESA has not caught up to the EI changes.
