HHBG Lawyers, a small boutique employment law firm located in South Surrey, is currently seeking a full time talented legal administrative assistant. A background in employment law is an asset but not a necessity. The ideal candidate will possess legal administrative assistant certification from an accredited institution. All candidates must possess a minimum of two (2) years of experience working as a legal administrative assistant. Excellent organizational skills and detail orientation with a high level of accuracy are required. Superior customer service skills are an asset. Exceptional communication skills, both written and oral, are also required. All candidates must be able to multi-task and have the ability to manage the different administrative functions of the practice. You must be team-minded and be able to work well under pressure, and be able to prioritize. You are also a self-starter who takes initiative, needs minimal supervision and can work independently.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Drafting correspondence
- Scheduling discoveries, mediations, trials, appointments and maintaining calendars
- Organization of files and other file related materials
- Filing and scanning
- Diarizing dates independently with respect to client files and practice management and maintaining a reliable bring forward (BF) system
